Cael's Chalk Art: July 9, 2014

Cael wrote "My Moms, Mom!"
and drew a picture of his Gramma underneath.
He sure misses her and thinks of her often.
I believe she is with him more than we know.
(I love that he put the apostrophe as a comma; at least he was thinking about it!)

A little ice should help.
A few days later, the black eye made its appearance.
Now he was a cool tough dude.

June 7, 2014: Surprising Elder Johnson

When we realized we would be driving through the area of Kansas where Tyler Johnson was serving, we decided to pay him a surprise visit. We tracked him down by going to a church, where we came across Elders who knew him. They told us he was at a meeting in another town. We went there, called him on his cell phone, and he came outside to see us. He was excited that we were there, and we were so impressed by the Spirit that emanated from him. He positively glowed with love and joy from sharing the Gospel and being a missionary. Seeing him while he was serving in the field is an experience that strengthened our testimonies of missionary work and is one we will never forget.
