The Life of a Boy Named Cael

I am now 2 1/2 with very definite ideas about what I want and like. First, I love "Do's Too's," which you see on the television in the picture below. There are 41 episodes of my best-loved show saved on our DVR. Notice that I needed to move my chair right in the center of the room for maximum viewing pleasure.
 Another thing I enjoy at this time is my "faff." Hope and Breonna were giving me my nightly cleansing in this picture. I like my mohawk.
 Hope is one of my favorite people. We are both super cute with great smiles. I was so happy that she babysat me while Mom-mom was out with her friends.
Lately, I want to watch the movie Up every day. I like the old man in the movie and call him "Pa" because he reminds me of my great-grandpa Ellsworth. I am pointing to the T.V. and saying, "Pa's tane" (Grandpa's cane) while I am all set up in the "share" watching. I also like to put my notebook on the tile stand and pretend like I am conducting the music at church.

 I have been playing independently in my room more and more, which makes Mom-mom happy. She always finds me doing cute and funny things, like in this picture. I put my "toy at" (cowboy hat) on backwards, climbed on my "orse" and went galloping away.

Chopped Liver

When it came time for Cael's monthly Holbrook visit, we asked him if he wanted to go bye-bye. He didn't - until we told him where he would be going. "Ti, Ti," he cried in delight. Upon dropping him off, he promptly bid us farewell with a, "Bye Mom-mom. Bye Da-da-ee."

Ma's Bed

Cael loves to be on "Ma's Bed" to watch Blue's Clues and relax. When it is bedtime, he will say, "Ma's bed," to indicate that is where he wants to go, not to his bed.

The first picture shows Cael, all smiles, in his cowboy hat, on our bed. He is looking at himself in our mirrored closet doors, happy as a clam that he, once again, took over the territory.

In the second photo, Cael had refused to take a nap. I'm 2 1/2, and I don't need to sleep, is the attitude he has taken. After a few minutes on Ma's bed, guess who drooled on my pillow?

Winter Wonderland

The backyard
is covered in snow;
The dirt, where did it go?
 Let's go outside and have a good time,
in this rare winter wonderland.
 On the lawn we'll make snow angels,
 with our heads down to our ankles.
 Mom-mom's turned out well, but Cael's did not;
he'll have to give it another shot.
 When it snows, ain't it thrillin?
Though your nose gets a chillin'...
We frolicked and played
a little that day,
in our backyard winter wonderland.
 We made memories, as you can see,
in our lovely winter wonderland.
